Better Life Donation.jpeg

Building the foundation for a better life—that’s a mission statement Joe and Regina Todd strive to live daily. One way that Joe, the proprietor of Le Jardin Custom Homes and Flowood Flooring & Design, lives this mission statement is through his devotion to a wonderful philanthropy, The Better Life Foundation. This was founded by Mississippi natives from the popular band 3 Doors Down with the goal of making a positive change in the lives of children all over the world. The foundation provides food, shelter, and medical assistance to children and young adults. “Changing the world one life at a time” is the foundation’s mission.

Pictured above are Joe and Regina along with Brad Arnold, Chet Roberts, Justin Biltonen, Chris Henderson and Greg Upchurch, members of 3 Doors Down. During a recent concert at Thalia Mara Hall in Jackson, Joe presented The Better Life Foundation with a $5,000 check from Le Jardin Custom Homes. The Todd family continues their commitment by donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of their homes. Brad Arnold, lead singer for the band, said, “It’s great when people give back! As a home builder, Joe knows what it takes to build a strong home. By donating to our foundation, he is showing that he knows what it takes to build strong communities.”

Joe opened the doors to Flowood Flooring & Design in 2010. Shortly thereafter, he opened Le Jardin Custom Homes. He gained respect for home builders while working in the flooring industry and this inspired him to enter the world of new home construction. Joe has an extensive background in marketing and design and uses this knowledge to bring a unique view to the construction of
his homes. His Louisiana roots gave Joe a deep seated appreciation for Southern architecture. This is showcased in his builds with reclaimed brick, antique heart pine accents, exposed beams and columns among other things that provide a classic Southern touch. His largest inspiration is A. Hays Town, a Louisiana architect and home builder. He defined Southern architecture and Town’s career defining work is located on the beautiful Highland Road in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Although, a few of his homes can be seen in the Northeast Jackson area.

Joe’s homes are one-of-a-kind. Not only do they feature a high-end design, but are built with lasting quality. He often states, “My goal is not to build a house, but rather build a home.” Joe’s work can be seen primarily in the tri-county area and he currently has ongoing construction in the premier, gated subdivision of Indian Creek located in Flowood. The most rewarding part of his career is seeing his vision fulfilled. He builds homes with personality, character, warmth, and ones that will stand for generations to come.

Joe credits much of his success to an outstanding team. His wife, Regina Todd, provides endless support. She helps with the design of homes and customer service. Grady Sinyard, Director of Operations, handles marketing and logistics for both companies. His great work allows Joe to spend more time with his loved ones. Joe and Regina recently welcomed their beautiful baby girl, Mackenzie, to the family. Joe’s parents, Joseph and Debbie Todd, also provide encouragement and taught him morals and values to live by. Without these values instilled in him, Joe admits his success would not have been a possibility.
